The writing that suitable and accepted, will be reviewed by the reviewers before it published.</p> <p><strong>Why SAGACITY?</strong></p> <p><em>Sagacity</em> is the capacity for <em>astute </em>or <em>sound judgment</em>. Because the adjective <em>practical</em> is often used to qualify <em>wisdom</em>, it is easily assumed that thinking and good judgment are different, even antithetical in relation to wisdom. Yet this assumption would scuttle the <em>wisdom</em> of <em>astute </em>or<em> sound judgment</em> within life. Sagacity is possible because we can think. Thinking is the impetus to engage human existence with honest intelligence as a fulcrum by which we undertake numerous activities with creativity, purpose and integrity. Without such leverage, we could only make arbitrary decisions based on momentary impulses and reactions; our activities, as to whether these are worthwhile or have enduring outcomes, would be uncertain or capricious. Sagacity is astute engagement with human existence that can both test ideas through purposeful activity and modify previous propensities through thoughtful reflection.</p> <p>Sagacity is genuinely philosophical in seeking to be wise in engaging issues that affect life daily, within shared perceptions and difficult differences as to variegated views reflecting human aspirations and valuations. If Christian faith, education and praxis are to speak into human experience concerning integral life, it is imperative to become familiar with how human aspirations and valuations relating to freedom, ethics, identity and society have been formed, weighed, interpreted and expressed, even though these activities vary between cultures and invariably change from one generation to another. Philosophy is literally <em>love of wisdom</em> and so also love of sagacity. Sagacity is most relevant to and contiguous with positive Christian presence and expression amid human wrestling in contextual and practical ways with perennial ambiguities of existence.</p> <p>SAGACITY is published twice in a year, on June and December. https://jurnal.sttsangkakala.ac.id/index.php/sagacity/article/view/63
The human person is a quintessential example of appearance necessitating and moderated by what does not appear. The question of what is real concerns non-appearing dynamics of what makes any appearance possible. Concerning human life, what then is the unseen impetus of corporeal life and activity? This is a focus on the animating and motivating impetus of human life that is customarily equated with soul, psyche or the unique I, which actively relates to others, yet remains inaccessible to their gaze, apart from self-representation by words, gestures and actions of a body. Appearance is here dependent on a profound non-appearance without which, there are no human appearances or indeed, appearances of anything to human consciousness. Engaging selected writings of Leibniz, this article gives particular focus to the concept of soul in relation to impetus, appetition and purpose in human appearance as an expressive body. https://jurnal.sttsangkakala.ac.id/index.php/sagacity/article/view/65
This article discusses Exodus 20:5, the Bible verse that states that God "will repay the iniquities of parents on children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generations." The main focus is to analyze these meaning texts and understand how the concept of parental transgression can be borne by offspring. Through an exegetical approach, this article explores the literal and symbolic meaning of the verse. While some interpretations tend toward a literal understanding of the remission of sin, this analysis also considers symbolic meanings involving moral responsibility and psychological impact. In addition, this article highlights the theological and ethical framework of understanding related to the concept of resolving generational sin. Discussion involves consideration of the cultural context in which the text was written and how its moral message is relevant in the context of modern society. Thus, this article not only approaches the biblical text theologically, but also seeks its practical application in moral contexts and everyday life. The conclusion leads to a balanced understanding of personal responsibility and the collective impact of parental actions, taking into account the spiritual and ethical values that may be contained in the verse.Wahyu Dimas Andono Warih

Pilgrimage as an important part of every religious service is important in realizing one's faith. The Israelites longed to be able to reflect their faith through the holiday of Sukkoth or the Feast of Tabernacles after hundreds of years of forgetting it because of the conditions and situation of the exile they experienced. Facts on the ground show that until now humans often carry out pilgrimage practices to places that are considered sacred and contain historical aspects. How effective and how to interpret the pilgrimage from the human spiritual dimension to present God in the reality of everyday life.Hery SusantoEben Haezer Caesar Susetyo Adi
